About The Century of Light Progress Bleaching Powder
One of the three products we offer in The Century of Light bleaching line, Progress is a lilac multipurpose powder that can be used for partial or total off-scalp bleaching. It lightens up to nine levels and is formulated with a Hair Protection Booster + that helps maintain the hair structure, reducing damage and even rebuilding already damaged strands. It's creamy in texture, odourless, and can be used on natural or cosmetically coloured hair.
You can mix our Progress bleaching powder with Activator 5, 10, 20, or 30 volumes. If you prefer scalp application, combine it with The Century of Light Tolerance lifting oil, a dermatologically tested product. When used with Activator 20, this mixture can lighten hair up to 5 levels.

What Do the Refill Packs Include?
Our Progress bleaching powder has long been available in an 800-gram (28.21-ounce) jar, but we now offer it in a kit that includes the following:
1 standard-size jar of The Century of Light Progress multipurpose bleaching powder
2 refill bags containing enough bleaching powder to refill the reusable jar twice
1 doser for precise measuring and easy mixing
1 leaflet covering sustainability facts and refill instructions

Less Plastic, More Product
Refill pouches are one way we can reduce our plastic use and the waste we create at Davines. The soft-plastic refill packs themselves use 90% less plastic — from either virgin fossil fuels or recycled sources — than buying a new jar every time. Our jars are made of recycled PET plastic, which is 100% recyclable, but we all know: putting it in the recycling bin doesn't always mean it's actually going to be recycled. Plus, making those jars takes a lot of energy on our part, and although our production facilities are fully carbon-neutral, we at Davines don't believe in creating waste just for the sake of it.
The Century of Light Progress refill kits come with one plastic doser for an amount of product equal to three jars (which would otherwise each come with three dosers). That means you'll get three times the amount of product but 61.4% less plastic overall.
Lower Carbon Footprint
That the refill pouches weigh less than our conventional jars is another perk for the planet. Packaging a portion of the bleaching powder in soft-plastic bags means each palette we ship to you contains 35% more product. This can help cut down on the frequency of shipping and reduce the total weight of each shipment, ultimately leading to less CO2 emissions generated from transport.
Added Convenience
More product in each shipment means less frequent ordering for you. Refillable pouches take up less space in storage than PET plastic jars, and they're going to be much less bulky when you go to dispose of them. You don't even have to worry about storing the bags and jars separately — each bag comes printed with all the information you need so you can’t lose track of what’s inside.

High-quality Performance
The Century of Light Progress is an off-scalp, low-volatility bleaching powder that protects and rebuilds strands with the reinforcing action of acetyl aspartic acid. It can be used on the scalp when mixed with our The Century of Light Tolerance lifting oil, which is ammonia-free and dermatologically tested, and it is ideal for lightening sensitised hair. The Century of Light Progress effectively lifts natural hair up to nine levels.
The Century of Light system is science-backed, rich in hair-healthy antioxidants, versatile, and easy to use for full or partial lightening results. It can be mixed with a range of Activators in ratios of one to 1.5 up to one to 2.5. Processing time is 40 minutes.
